On October 5, 2022, the Malmö guitarist and composer Peter Tegnér invited to a heavenly concert evening at the Victoria Theater in Malmö together with a cavalcade of nice guest artists. On stage with Peter, the audience heard Helen, kora player and singer Sousou Cissoko, singer Jessica Ottosson and percussionist Bo Håkansson.
Guest artists
Helen Sjöholm – vocals
Malmö is special to Helen, she lived here 1992-2002 and made her debut in 1992 with a newly written musical, Elvira Madigan. It was also in Malmö that she had her big breakthrough with Kristina from Duvemåla in 1995.
Sousou Cissoko – vocals and kora
Today, Sousou is one of the world’s few female professional kora players. Together with her husband, Maher Cissoko, she has toured in 30 countries and performed at the Polar Prize. In 2021, Sousou received the Taube scholarship.
Jessica Ottosson – vocals
Peter’s longtime duo partner, grew up in Mönsterås. Current with the leitmotif in the German TV series Die Toten von Marnow.
Bo Håkansson – percussion
We find Malmö’s diligent and versatile percussionists in a variety of constellations. Bo has been playing in the Malmö Symphony Orchestra since 1995.
