The whole Oviken village seemed to be on its feet. The old church was filled to the very last bench on Saturday afternoon when actor Michael Rahm’s musical friends invited to a “Tooth soiree”.
Mikael Rahm has been helped by, among others, Maths O Sundqvist, Helen Sjöholm and other musical friends to get new teeth. His teeth were destroyed in connection with a tough cancer treatment. Financial assistance to new teeth is impossible to get through the county.
In order to complete the dental treatment more money was needed. Therefore, Saturday’s concert was organized, which was the second one. The first was not for the public.
Artists in the old church of Oviken were, in addition to Maths O Sundqvist and Helen Sjöholm, pianist Stefan Nilsson, Sten Andersson, Bergsrasket, Calle Hernmarck, Annika Persson and Anders Hedén.
The highlight, which also was what made the audience rise to their feet in the rows was when Helen Sjöholm performed the popular “Gabriella’s Song”.
During the evening, after the concert at the church, the musical dental project continued in Orrgården, with a concert of Bengan Jansson and Trebadurerna.
