The weather forecast for the summer looks a bit shaky but the prognosis for Björn and Bennys new song is a sure one. That kind that lingers on the charts for hundred of weeks.
Benny Anderssons Orchestra has made music of many different kind; folk music, dance music, hit music, rag music and film music but Benny Andersson has saved his pop and rock scores for other things. Until now. Here Helen has been given a sure to be mega hit that reminds us of the ABBA days. The chorus sticks at first listening and after a few more it feels like a song that has been like a best friend for years. It sounds a lot like Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus but not as much like Benny Anderssons Orchestra. But the idea of this group of musicians is to always sound different.
“Sommartider” (Summertimes), “Sommaren är kort” (The summer is short) – and now “Sommaren du fick” (The summer you got). A hit song that is going to outlast the sunshine this summer. “Sommaren du fick” is a swedish version of “Story of a heart”, it is the titel song on the first all english album by Benny Anderssons Orchestra. The album will be released in Sweden on june 24th and “Sommaren du fick” is track 14. The international edition will have 14 tracks and will among other include “Du är min man”, “Vår sista dans”, För dig” and “En dans på rosor” in english.
