What year were you 14 years old?
– 1984.

What are your musical memories from that year?
– I remember walking around with the intro riff of Yes Owner of a lonely heart in my head. And then I remember loud vocals in my room for Cyndi Lauper’s Time after time.

What else did you listen to when you were 14 years old?
– I loved the sound in Chess in concert and One night in Bangkok – Björn and Benny wrote music history, you felt that already in 1984 when you heard the music for the first time. What I remember most was the album Brel in Swedish and Tommy Körberg’s version of Gamla älskares sång. I was so madly fulfilled and touched, it went straight into my body.

The study that shows that we are most affected by the music we heard when we were 14, do you think it´s true of your own life?
– Haha, the question is already answered in the previous answer. When you look at my career, it’s crystal clear.

What do you think about the fact that you and your music have influenced and created memories for young people who carry it through life?
– I hope so, even though I don´t know if the 14-year-olds are my target group. I notice that many young people who want to aim for musical theater are very inspired by Kristina from Duvemåla. It´s strong, demanding songs and a story that bears. It makes me happy and a little proud!
