Helen Sjöholm, 53, is one of Sweden’s greatest musical stars and is currently playing the role of Rut in the acclaimed musical Änglagård (House of Angels) at the Oscar Theater. Aftonbladet therefore called and asked about her plus rating on life right now.

Health Rating: 4 out of 5 plus

– My health can actually be said to be four plus at the moment, if you dare when you are in the middle of such an intense work period. When I work a lot, I need to move a lot and I have done that. Then the health lasts better. So it’s really an active life right now. I have a little old knees, but right now it’s okay to run a little and then I’ll be extra happy.

Is it mainly running training then?

– I swim, run a little and generally also run up stairs and a lot at work. I feel surprisingly strong, to start getting a bit 50-plus.

The career Rating: 5 out of 5 plus

– Now it’s five plus. To be able to work with an ensemble like this one in House of Angels, where the strength is in every piece… you don’t always feel that way, especially in my situation in life when I’ve done a lot and am getting older, that you get to play a role on the musical stage that is a challenge and that is multidimensional, it’s pure happiness. So I feel uplifted and eager for work from this, and also not least that the audience’s response has been absolutely fantastic.

Love life Rating: 4 out of 5 plus

Helen Sjöholm has been married to David Granditsky since 2006 and together they have a son Ruben and twins Samuel and Johanna.

– I feel surrounded by a loving group here at home. But then it happens that we meet in the hall right now, me and the hubby. There is more to give there.

Economy Rating: 4 out of 5 plus

– I can not complain. I get to go to work and it looks like we’ll be doing House of Angels for a long time. I feel safe. It’s not always like freelancing that you feel like it’s going to run for a long time, so it feels luxurious right now. And you hardly dare say that, pepper, pepper take wood, with everything that can happen with the vocal cords and pandemics and everything else. But it feels stable and good.

The future plans Rating: 4 out of 5 plus

– There are many balls being lifted, then you will see which ones land. But there are exciting projects in the air. My wish is to continue to work widely and to continue to be challenged at work. And to hopefully be healthy and that the family is healthy, that is the big foundation for everything. We have to hope that it continues like this, it is very difficult to predict.

The star: “A happy period”

Helen Sjöholm laughs and states that there were very high positive marks on everything.

– You call me during a happy period, so there will be many pluses. It’s not like this all the time. The worry about trying to stay healthy is constantly present and it can create a lot of negatives, this thing of constantly thinking “how do you feel today”, taking a few tones in the morning and thinking “will it last”. Right now I’m strong, but the worries are always there and things can go fast in life.
