Say Helen Sjöholm. Then the audience expects certain songs. Yes, she offers many of her aces this concert. But she also mixes new playing cards into the game. A strong evening with a lot of euphoria.

In the autumn of 2020 the album En ny tid (A New Time) was released, with tailor-made songs by Jonatan Järpehag / Paulina Palmgren, as well as Andreas Mattson and Anna Ternhielm. On Armarna som lyfter dig (The Arms That Raise You), Helen Sjöholm and Annika Norlin have contributed to the lyrics. The new songs are included in the concert, and they lift when performed live.
Good small talk intertwines the songs around thoughts of looking around life with new eyes. Helen Sjöholm knows that many want to hear evergreen hits like Du är min man (You Are My Man) and she already performs it as the third number and shouts “We´ll not save on anything”. She brings five fantastic musicians who give the evening an impressively varied sound. Many musical expressions.
Helen Sjöholm was an exclamation point in last year’s Så mycket bättre (So much better), and among the concert’s highlights is her interpretation of Jakob Hellman’s Han har ett sätt (He has a way) with memorable arrangement, and Loreen’s Euforia. There is also wonderful energy in the Barpianist. From the album Euforia, Billy Joel melodies with lyrics by Tomas Andersson Wij.
Another of the evening’s strongest is För att jag älskar dig, Bob Dylan’s To make you feel my love with lyrics by Mikael Wiehe.
A wide mix (…) But overall a generous self-portrait of one of the greatest artists. You go out into the autumn darkness with the feeling that a new time can be a brighter time.
