In the middle of February this year, Stefan received the unimaginable news that he has been affected by the most aggressive form of ALS.<\/p>\n
On May 8, 2023, <\/strong>a tribute concert was organized for Stefan in Filadelfia Convention Center, Stockholm, while he is still healthy enough to participate. A concert filled with his music performed by Stefan’s friends and colleagues, who are also some of our most famous artists.<\/p>\n Helen participated, together with Tommy K\u00f6rberg, Benny Andersson, Sissel Kyrkjeb\u00f8, Sonja Ald\u00e9n, \u00c5sa Jinder, Gunilla Backman, Jan Johansen, Anna Stadling, Sarah Riedel and Py B\u00e4ckman. In addition, chamber orchestra led by conductor Sonny Jansson as well as bands and choirs.<\/p>\n They all wanted to show him their love and pay tribute to him both as a friend and for his musical work.<\/p>\n \u2013 As a pianist, songwriter and composer, Stefan Nilsson has excelled and touched for many decades. His melodious, epic movie music has deepened and lifted \u2013 not least with “Gabriella’s song” which I myself have carried with me since “As it is in heaven”. When a song is sung and played often and throughout Sweden \u2013 at christenings, weddings, funerals, singing lessons, lectures and choir concerts, it is nothing less than a classic! \/\/Helen<\/em><\/p>\n The choice of concert venue had a strong connection to Stefan as the final scene with Gabriella’s song<\/em> from the hit movie As it is in heave<\/em>n was recorded there.<\/p>\n
