BAO was formed in early 2001<\/strong> in connection with the recording of the first album; Benny Anderssons Orkester<\/em>, on which the hit song V\u00e5r sista dans<\/em>, also released as a single, is one of the songs.<\/p>\n

BAO consists of:
\n<\/strong>Benny Andersson \u2013 conductor, accordion, piano, synclavier
\nLeif G\u00f6ras, Olle Moraeus, Perra Moraeus, Kalle Moraeus, Nicke G\u00f6the; ie Orsa Spelm\u00e4n \u2013 mainly string instruments but also guitarr, mandolin and some wind instruments
\nG\u00f6ran Arnberg \u2013 pump organ
\nJanne Bengtson \u2013 flute, piccolo, distal horn, baritone sax
\nP\u00e4r Grebacken – saxophone, clarinet, recorder, piccolo
\nJogga Ernlund \u2013 bass
\nCalle Jacobsson \u2013 tuba, valve trombone
\nLeif Lindvall \u2013 trumpet and cornet
\nLars Rudolfsson \u2013 accordion
\nJ\u00f6rgen Stenberg \u2013 drums and percussion
\nHelen Sj\u00f6holm and Tommy K\u00f6rberg \u2013 vocals<\/p>\n

In the summer of 2004<\/strong> BAO released their second album; BAO!<\/em> which has sold platinum and includes, among other songs, Du \u00e4r min man<\/em>, with vocals by Helen, a song that stayed in the Swedish charts for 278 weeks!<\/p>\n

The summer of 2006<\/strong> BAO released a live album called BAO p\u00e5 turn\u00e9<\/em>, which features Helen and Tommy singing Det \u00e4r vi \u00e4nd\u00e5<\/em>. The album acquired a gold disc.<\/p>\n

BAO released BAO 3<\/em>, which earned them their forth gold disc, in the summer of 2007. On the album Tommy sings Fait accomplit<\/em> and together with Helen Nu m\u00e5r jag mycket b\u00e4ttre<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The album Story of a heart<\/em> was released on June 24 2009, with BAO calling themselves BAB; Benny Andersson\u2019s Band. The album consists of previously released melodies and songs translated into English for establishment on the foreign market. The title track, Story of a heart<\/em>, was also released as a single in Swedish; Sommaren du fick<\/em>.<\/p>\n
