N\u00c4S\u00c5KER. At last she appeared on her dream stage. Helen Sj\u00f6holm attracted a large audience when she returned to her childhood N\u00e4s\u00e5ker and was singing on the big stage of the venue. (…)<\/strong><\/p>\n

For four years, Mikael Holmsten has tried to arrange the concert with Helen Sj\u00f6holm in N\u00e4s\u00e5ker.<\/p>\n

\u2013 It started when she came to Sunnersta to sing, and told me that she always dreamed of playing in N\u00e4s\u00e5ker, Mikael says.<\/p>\n

\u2013 I kept that in mind and I have heard from me on a regular basis to spell, but Helen has had a lot. But last year she said she had a gap and that was amazing, and on that road it is.<\/p>\n

Helen Sj\u00f6holm grew up<\/strong> in Sundsvall, but all vacations during her childhood she spent with her grandmother in N\u00e4s\u00e5ker. The ties to the village are strong, and although she has no family in N\u00e4s\u00e5ker today, the place is associated with a lot of nostalgia for her. She tells us from the stage that it was in N\u00e4s\u00e5ker her musical career began.<\/p>\n

Both how she<\/strong> and her cousin Maria Lundberg used to run on the big stage and play, singing to the then obscene audience, and how she and Maria were singing for grandmother and her friends when they gathered to drink coffee. The evening of honor Maria Lundberg was there, and together they started the night in N\u00e4s\u00e5ker singing their first joint hit – Ted G\u00e4rdestad’s “Jag vill ha en egen m\u00e5ne” (I want a moon on my own).<\/p>\n

\u2013 We didn\u00b4t understand the meaning of it then, when we were ten, eleven years, but it became clear to us later, Helen says.<\/p>\n

About 2000 people<\/strong> were attracted to the concert in N\u00e4s\u00e5ker, which besides Helen and Maria also consisted of Helens younger sister Anna Fahlstedt, local artist Klas Norberg, and of course Holmsten’s Trio – for the day reinforced to a sex man band. (…)<\/p>\n

\u2013 There seems to be an urgent need for this kind of event, Mikael Holmsten said after the concert.<\/p>\n

Helen Sj\u00f6holm herself<\/strong> was very pleased with the successful gig.<\/p>\n

\u2013 This is absolutely amazing and we’ve had a lot of fun, both yesterday when we repeated and today, Helen says.<\/p>\n

\u2013 I am so glad we did it and that I had the opportunity to get up here. To get music with this gang and with my relatives, it’s a little party. She is uncertain if there will be any further gig in N\u00e4s\u00e5ker,  though she hope to get the chance to perform on stage again.<\/p>\n

\u2013 But this with my sister and so, I don\u00b4t think so. It’s probably a once-in-a-lifetime thing.<\/p>\n
