\/>\nNow there&#8217;s a wheat field<br \/>\nThis land was waiting for me<br \/>\nWas waiting its hour!<\/p>\n<p>Where once there was nothing<br \/>\nNo law, no power<br \/>\nThis land of prairie and pine<br \/>\nI made it flower!<br \/>\nWith this naked pair of hands<br \/>\nI made it mine<\/p>\n<p>There was another song<br \/>\nI knew it well<br \/>\nThe song of steel on rock it sang \u2013<br \/>\nIt rang of hell<br \/>\nAnd when there came a time<br \/>\nWhen hope was gone<br \/>\nWe loaded up the wagons<br \/>\nWe moved on<br \/>\nFrom that barren, stony ground<\/p>\n<p><strong>Settlers <\/strong><br \/>\nBarren, unforgiving ground<\/p>\n<p><strong>Karl Oskar <\/strong><br \/>\nWe loaded up, and we were<br \/>\nWestward bound<\/p>\n<p>The earth lay quiet here<br \/>\nSince time began<br \/>\nThrough all Creation waiting here<br \/>\nThe coming of man<br \/>\nNo axe rang in these woods<br \/>\nNo sign of toil<br \/>\nUntil I put my spade to work<br \/>\nAnd dug into this rich, black soil<\/p>\n<p><strong>Settlers <\/strong><br \/>\nWhere once there was wild grass<br \/>\nNow there&#8217;s a wheat field<br \/>\nThis land was waiting for us<br \/>\nWas waiting its hour<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nNojd <\/strong><br \/>\nYou got something for nothing<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nSettlers <\/strong><br \/>\nWhere once there was nothing<br \/>\nNo law, no power<br
