Billy Joel? In Swedish? The American top sellers licked soulpop, here and there with musical tassels, has never been a product which are stacked on high in Sweden. And we are probably a few people who have seen him as a second-rate Elton Jo…hn. But Joel’s songs have their qualities and “Euforia” is guaranteed to be our best chance ever to detect it. Tomas Andersson Wij has written the Swedish texts – carefully, witty and just enough personal – and Helen Sj\u00f6holm has other dimensions, sensitivity and warmth quantities as a singer than the American himself. So Billy Joel’s storytelling and ability to write different kinds of songs will shine, the more elegant and less straight-scrumptious arrangement than the songs are used to. Tight five-piece band and strings play. Best track: Kvinnan f\u00f6r dig<\/p>\n
