It has been eight years since Helen Sj\u00f6holm debuted with a CD in her own name. “Visor” found a large audience, but a sequel never came. Until now then.<\/p>\n

Here she sings, quite unbacked, only songs by American singer \/ songwriter Billy Joel, who had never been particularly popular in Sweden. Maybe Helen will change that now.<\/p>\n

Tomas Andersson Wij has translated and interpreted the songs, in a very nice way. Helens regular partner Martin \u00d6stergren and Jojje Wadenius has arranged and played on the album, of course it is impeccable – and actually – in the end all of it sounds very much Helen.<\/p>\n

Her interpretations top in several cases the originals, she has of course a unique talent, and she gets every single word to sound credible. Listen to examples of the catchy “Barpianisten” or the quiet glowing “Varje s\u00e5r s\u00f6ker ett s\u00e5r”, with the backing of the church organ.<\/p>\n
