Helen plays the role of Annika; mother of the main character Sigrid. Amy Deasismont is the creator and screenwriter.<\/p>\n<p>During the summer, Helen made some live appearances, including <em><a title=\"Lotta at Liseberg\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2021\/08\/10\/lotta-at-liseberg\/\">Lotta at Liseberg<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On September 9<\/strong>, she participated in the <em>Baltic Sea Fund&#8217;s award ceremony 2021<\/em> on \u00c5land and on September 15, she participated in a tribute concert to healthcare staff at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On November 7<\/strong>, Helen finally went on <a title=\"En ny tid\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2022\/05\/12\/en-ny-tid-2\/\">tour with her album&nbsp;<em>En ny tid (A New Time)<\/em><\/a> which was released in September 2020. The same month she released the single <em><a title=\"Julen kan hj\u00e4lpa\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/albums-2021-and-forward\/julen-kan-hjalpa\/\">Julen kan hj\u00e4lpa (Christmas Can Help)<\/a><\/em> together with Anna Stadling and in December they had time to do a couple of Christmas concerts together.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>On Christmas Day 2021<\/strong>, the film <em><a title=\"Till sun rises\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2022\/01\/14\/tills-solen-gar-upp-until-the-sun-goes-up\/\">Tills solen g\u00e5r upp (Till sun rises)<\/a><\/em> premiered. The main roles were played, in addition to Helen, by Mikael Persbrandt, Vanna Rosenberg and Peter Dalle. Helen and Mikael Persbrandt portrayted the married couple Peder and Lena. The movie was directed by Peter Dalle, who also wrote the script. The movie was shown on Swedish Television in the spring of 2023.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On January 29, 2022<\/strong>, the musical <em><a title=\"Next to Normal\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2022\/03\/27\/next-to-normal\/\">Next to Normal<\/a><\/em> had a revival on Uppsala City Theatre&#8217;s main stage, with Helen in the role of mother Diana. It was played there until March 26.<\/p>\n<p>During the year, Helen also gave several concerts, including together with the musician Rickard Nilsson, a collaboration that will continue in 2023. In May, she appeared in&nbsp;<a title=\"Spring fanfare\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2022\/05\/22\/spring-fanfare\/\"><em>Spring fanfare<\/em><\/a> at the Wasa Theater in Finland together with Anna-Maria Hallgarn. She also did some gigs together with Martin \u00d6stergren and Jojje Wadenius and took part in a support concert for Ukraine under the auspices of the Salvation Army.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On October 28<\/strong>, Helen and Anna Stadling released the Christmas album <em><a title=\"Sn\u00f6 &amp; marschaller\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/albums-2021-and-forward\/sno-marschaller-album\/\">Sn\u00f6 &amp; marshaller (Snow and marshals)<\/a><\/em> and in the following months an extensive Christmas tour was carried out around the country. From the reviews:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The duo\u2019s interpretation of \u201cIn the pale winter night\u201d wraps the heart in lamb\u2019s wool. The whole last hour is actually lovely, if we\u2019re being honest. Overall, this is an excellent evening. It manages to both break with traditions and cherish them&#8221;.<em><br \/>\nG\u00f6teborgsposten<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Helen Sj\u00f6holm and Anna Stadling are hard hit among Christmas concerts in G\u00e4vle&#8221;.<br \/>\n<em>Arbetarbladet<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Beautifully performed Christmas carols with a measure of pain&#8221;.<br \/>\n<em>Barometern<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Helen Sj\u00f6holm and Anna Stadling have made an album that reflects Christmas as complex and contradictory as it is&#8221;.<br \/>\n<em>Dagens Industri<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>On January 15, 2023<\/strong>, Helen was one of the artists at the <a title=\"The Fadime Gala\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2023\/01\/17\/the-fadime-gala\/\"><em>Fadime Gala<\/em><\/a> at Berns Salonger in Stockholm and on January 23, she appeared at the <em><a title=\"The Golden Beetle Gala\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2023\/01\/24\/the-golden-beetle-gala\/\">Golden Beetle Gala<\/a><\/em> together with Anna Stadling and Albin Lee Meldau, in a tribute to Sven-Bertil Taube.<\/p>\n<p>Among the many events during the spring can be mentioned the The National Theatre&#8217;s performance <em><a title=\"NASSIM\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2023\/03\/24\/nassim\/\">Nassim<\/a><\/em> and <a title=\"Music for Life\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2023\/05\/09\/music-for-life\/\"><em>Music for Life<\/em><\/a>; a tribute concert for pianist and composer Stefan Nilsson. At the beginning of the summer, she gave three concerts together with Jojje Wadenius and Martin \u00d6stergren.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In fall 2023\u2013spring 2024<\/strong>, Helen plays in the musical <em><a title=\"\u00c4nglag\u00e5rd (House of Angels)\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2024\/02\/10\/anglagard-house-of-angels\/\">\u00c4nglag\u00e5rd (House of Angels)<\/a><\/em> at the Oscar Theater in Stockholm and in December 2023 there were three more Christmas concerts together with Anna Stadling and <em><a title=\"Snow and marshals\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2023\/12\/25\/snow-marshals\/\">Snow and marshals<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>During the summer of 2024<\/strong>, Helen again gave some intimate concerts together with Jojje Wadenius and Martin \u00d6stergren. In May, she participated in <em>Livemusik at Skansen<\/em> with Anders Widmark and on June 11 in <em>An evening at&nbsp;Cirkus<\/em> with BAO, which was also broadcast on TV during the fall. In October, she participated in two tribute concerts for Allan Edwall in Stockholm, together with Lennart J\u00e4hkel and Bengan Janson. The same performance will be given in Sundsvall in the spring of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>During the fall, and until January 25, 2025, she will also play the role of Joanne in <em><a title=\"Company\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2024\/10\/27\/company\/\">Company<\/a><\/em> at Stockholm City Theatre. She alternates with Gunilla Backman in the role, and plays every other performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On November 28<\/strong>, the Christmas tour <em><a title=\"Songs in Christmas time\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2024\/12\/20\/songs-in-christmas-time\/\">Songs in Christmas time<\/a><\/em> began together with Anna Stadling, which included 17 concerts in 14 cities around Sweden and ended on December 19.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the spring of 2025<\/strong>, Helen gave several concerts; partly together with Martin &amp; Jojje and partly with guitarist Rickard Nilsson.<\/p>\n<p>During May and June, she played Rut again in <em><a title=\"\u00c4nglag\u00e5rd (House of Angels)\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2025\/06\/15\/anglagard-house-of-angels-malmo-gothenburg\/\">House of Angels<\/a><\/em>, when the musical was performed at Malm\u00f6 Arena and at Scandinavium in Gothenburg.<\/p>\n<p>During July and August, she went on a <a title=\"Summer tour with Tommy K\u00f6rberg\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2025\/08\/20\/summer-tour-with-tommy-korberg\/\">summer tour with Tommy K\u00f6rberg<\/a>. The premiere took place in Dalhalla, R\u00e4ttvik. A total of nine concerts were held.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On September 26<\/strong>, <a title=\"N\u00e5n m\u00e5ste g\u00f6ra det! (Someone\u2019s got to do it!)\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2025\/09\/27\/nan-maste-gora-det\/\"><em>Someone\u2019s got to do it!&nbsp;<\/em><\/a>premiered at Lisebergsteatern in Gothenburg; a newly written pocket musical by Per Naroskin and directed by Sissela Kyle. There, the audience will see Helen in the role of the misunderstood Kassandra and Gunilla Backman as the optimistic Felicia. In total, the musical will be performed in 22 cities around Sweden and the tour will end on February 13\u201315, 2026, at N\u00f6jesteatern in Malm\u00f6.<\/p>\n<p>A <a title=\"Christmas at Villa Foresta\" href=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/2025\/12\/18\/christmas-at-villa-foreta\/\">Christmas concert together with Anna Stadling<\/a> was also held in December, at Villa Foresta, Liding\u00f6 in Stockholm.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13069\" src=\"https:\/\/helensjoholm.nu\/_eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/anna-helen-2022.jpg\" alt=\"Helen Sj\u00f6holm and Anna Stadling, autumn dressed outside.
