On Saturday evening Sunnersta People’s House got a prominent guest.
Sundsvall daughter and musical star Helen Sjöholm was on site to share the stage with her cousin Maria Lundberg and Nora son Klas Norberg.

Road 335 is almost empty of traffic. There are lights shinig from the houses, but otherwise everything is quiet. The sign with the text ”Sunnersta” points to the left and a gravel road leads out to Sunnersta People’s House.

The road is lined with some 100 cars and inside the premises the air begins to get thin even before the star of the evening has got on stage.

Helen Sjöholm is the singer who in 1995 broke through with her role in ”Kristina från Duvemåla”, but nowadays can be heard for example in Benny Andersson Band, or like tonight along with local talents in Sunnersta People’s House.

Klas Norberg makes his entrance on stage with the song ”Min vår” and makes a quick presentation of the evening’s main attraction before ”Summer Wind” is played and Helen Sjöholm herself comes onstage. She sings ”Vid vassen av den krökta ström” before she presents her cousin and co-musician Maria Lundberg. Then they sing Tomas Ledin’s ”Vi är vårt land” together.

Helen Sjöholm is a shining star. She is cozy, grand, burlesque, humorous and quite impossible not to love. She has bite in her voice and a twinkle in her eye, and she is getting quite to her right and feels at home in Sunnersta People’s House’s intimate venue.

One hundred and fifty people. The building house that many and in eight minutes the tickets to the evening’s concert were sold out. During the break there was coffee and cinnamon bun plait, and the audience had the opportunity to get some air outside the overheated room before it was time again.

”I know him so well,” ”Suspicious mind” and ”Du är min man” are some of the songs that the party played during the second act of the evening, and as a whole something really special has happened in Sunnersta this evening.
