During 25 years of success on stage and record, as well as on TV, film and radio, Helen has never made a solo album with newly written material. On September 25, 2020, the long-awaited album En ny tid (A New Time) was released, which was loved by fans, and in the fall of 2021 she could finally go for a Sweden tour.
– After carpentrying the record En ny tid in the spring of 2020, corona safe with musicians who sent in files or came individually to the studio, I have SO longed to breathe the “live air” in these new songs. There’s a lot you long for… The audience’s buzz, anticipation, the shared experience and the music on place – far away from Teams and Zoom. The here and now feeling. I look forward to finding a nice mix of songs; the new ones with the ‘old’ ones and maybe even something untipped. To finally be able to go out with this band and meet the audience will be a PARTY!, Helen said before the tour start.
En ny tid, produced by Andreas Dahlbäck, is a very personal album where Helen’s own imprint is clearly noticeable and which contains specially written and hand-picked material. Paulina Palmgren and Jonatan Järpehag have contributed the most songs. Other songwriters include Anna Ternheim and Andreas Mattsson. A song text is based on a chronicle (!) By Linda Skugge. In terms of sound, it´s possible to associate with singer-songwriters, whether they were active in California in the 70s or are in Stockholm today, and roots in the Swedish singing tradition.
It was with the album En ny tid, mixed with ‘old’ and great hits, that Helen, together with a six-man band, embarked on tour.

Hi Helen
It would be wonderful if you could come and do a gig or two in the UK. Hint – Union Chapel in Islington (London) has absolutely amazing acoustics that I’m sure would amaze you and show off your beautiful voice at it’s very best.
Best wishes
