Vi håller ut (We Endure) – Swedish artists come together to support the fight against corona
During the 1980s, the classics Do They Know Christmas and We Are the World came about to pay attention to one of the world’s greatest crises. Now – in the midst of a new burning crisis – about 50 Swedish artists are gathering in a song about not losing hope and to endure.
Helen Sjöholm, Sarah Dawn Finer, Magnus Carlsson, Mariette, Jessica Andersson, Dolly Style and Robin Bengtsson are some of the artists in Vi håller ut (We Endure), dedicated to all Swedes battle against Covid-19.
Endure has been and will be one of the strongest and most important messages during the spring – and maybe even summer – 2020. Prime Minister Stefan Löfvén, Public health authority with Anders Tegnell in the forefront and the care staff – they all ask us to hold out a little bit more.
To give back to those who are now fighting the hardest, and to get everyone to do just what is needed is the song and the music video We Endure is released. Some of Sweden’s foremost musicians and artists have come together to pay tribute to and support all who are struggling with the Corona crisis miseries, big and small. Across the country, there are grief, uncertainty and challenges like most never met before. Everyone needs to make sacrifices and show consideration, to protect themselves – and above all each other.
The hope is that as many people as possible will listen to the song, watch the video and do it to their own.
The projects are completely non-profit and not linked to any organization, fundraising or political actor. The song will be distributed through the Amuse service and all proceeds from performances of the song will be donated to a project in healthcare.
