In Stockholm, they were invited to a celebration with speeches and music in the City Hall.

Everyone who has become a Swedish citizen in 2017 (about 6,300) and is registered for census in the city of Stockholm had been invited to the citizenship ceremony, which has become an appreciated tradition.
There were two solemn ceremonies in the Blue Hall with a total of about 2,400 people. The municipality council chairman Eva-Louise Erlandsson Slorach and the Finance Council Karin Wanngård made speeches, after that there were singing and music and everyone were invited to coffee in the Golden Hall.
